Denon AH-NC 732 Noise Cancelling Headphones

The Denon AH-NC 732 Noise Cancelling Headphones are  “on ear” (as opposed to “over the ear”) headphones.  Some users claim that “over the ear” headphones tend to create a little heat and/or pressure inside the cups that some may find uncomfortable.  The Denon AH-NC 732’s and other “over the ear” models alleviate that concern.  (Personally however, I find the over-the-ear versions better at reducing noise.)

Manufacturer specs say the Denon AH-NC 732’s will cancel up to 95% of ambient noise.  Users have generally reported that they are lightweight and very comfortable.

A summary of user ratings include four stars for comfort, sound quality and noise reduction, and four-and-a-half stars for ease of use.

One of the main selling points of the Denon AH-NC 732’s is that they can sometimes be found for a whopping 50% off retail HERE.

Some excerpts from user reviews:

The Denon AH-NC732K is a very nice pair of headphones. They are compact, comfortable, and sound very good. The noise canceling works very well taking care of engine noise and other low frequencies…”  –J. Derda

Along with some of the other reviewers, I doubt the claim of “99% noise reduction” and agree that about 80% is a more believable figure…I was very impressed with the price. I had looked at Bose headphones in an electronics store, and for about half the price, I think the Denon’s are a great value.”  –M. Farmer
